At the end of the eighties a Polish family in Rome is waiting to get a visa for Canada. At first it industry in small businesses for daily survival. Janusz, head of household, washes the windows of cars, Helena, his new girlfriend and daughter Justina are hired for domestic work. Janusz suddenly disappears. His disappearance marks the beginning of the disintegration of the community. One evening, after work, Justina is approached by two convicts who offer her a ride. Instead of taking her home the lead on the Appian Way, and there, trying to rape her. Escaping Justina falls and dies, but one of his pursuers will make a gift of revelation.
