The main heroine of this story is Monica Zverova, a 6th・grader who missed the lowest in the class alphabet, but won first place in a more important place. Monica is a successful or very successful reciter, the subject of horror of all participants of the Pushkin Monument. But Monica believes that only reciting poems can be successful. She has Dana, a friend of gymnasts and a promising handball player. She has a chance to be selected for the Olympic team. But Dana already knows that there is nothing easy in life and so on. She fights, works hard and strives. The same goes for Monica, but unlike Dana, her desire can be called a dream.

Uwe and Christine are a young couple with a daughter. A small family moves into an old brick house in a small town. Uwe is a police officer, but he doesn't have much time to spend with his family because of the night shift, weekend work, and extra work to make up for his salary. Christine takes on the role of a housewife and spends a lot of time with her daughter Clara, who has just discovered the world. But over time, family happiness gradually begins to crack. Uwe is very jealous and always wants to know exactly what Christine is doing, where she is staying and with whom she meets. If he is in a bad mood, jealousy can turn into aggression. Soon christine will have to come up with more and more excuses for bruises…
