An experimentally oriented play, devoid of any psychologization, clings
to a naïve point of view - in this position, Jiří suchý tells about the
wanderings of an eighteen-year-old girl who leaves her job at a poultry
farm and goes in search of a husband. In fact, the Oracle, which he
believes, stipulated that he must marry on the exact 23. October. The
film shows that the director has experience with theatrical form, but
not with cinematic expression. Therefore, the result is rather
cumbersome, despite the emphasized poetics. The director's stylization
tries to adapt even the actors with the beginning Marta vančurová in the
lead.
