Regina is a 50-year-old woman who lives in the privileged Southern Zone of Rio de Janeiro. One day, she finds at her door Rayane, a five-year-old girl who is clearly not from the region, and Ygor her younger brother. The girl explains that her mother asked them to wait for her in the same place until she returned. Regina, not knowing what to do, thinks about taking them to the orphanage, but is convinced by her teenage daughter to let them spend the night. Frightened by the immensity of the house, the two stay together and Regina realizes that they only possess each other. Determined to help them find her family, Regina has contact with a world she did not know.
