History of Father Antonio Vieira, born in Portugal, in 1608 and died in Salvador, Bahia, in 1697. Considered to be the greatest Portuguese writer, master in rhetoric, he was persecuted and executed by the inquisition for his position against slavery and colonialism, as well as for his sympathy to the jews. Filmed in just 13 days, the film won the best director award at the Festival de Brasilia.
