Back on the beaches that have marked her life, Varda invents a form of autodocumentaire. Agnes takes the stage amid excerpts of her films, images and reportages. She shares with humor and emotion her beginnings as a photographer of theatre and filmmaker, an innovator in the fifties, her life with Jacques Demy, her feminist engagement, travels to Cuba, China and the USA, his career as an independent producer, her family life and her love of beaches.
