Thiruchelvan, an engineer and writer, and Indra, a TV news anchor, live
with their three children. On her ninth birthday, they tell the eldest,
Amudha, that she is adopted and that her biological mother lives in Sri
Lanka. Amudha wants to find her biological parents and convinces
Thiruchelvan and Indra to help her. The family travels to Sri Lanka
where war awaits them.
