The film tells the story of Magdalena Schwaiger, who is seriously ill,
and her mother Hanni. They desperately seek an understanding doctor to
save Magdalena, who suffers from severe headaches and other symptoms.
For years, no one wants to believe that Magdalena is seriously ill,
until Hanni takes matters into her own hands. It is finally determined
that a brain tumor is the cause of the girl's suffering. Now she even
travels to the USA to ask a specialist to operate on her daughter. This
doctor agrees to perform the operation in Germany, and Magdalena comes
through the operation well - contrary to the prognosis.
