Michal Sulecki and Ewa Fornalczyk-Sulecka are young spouses. They neglect the relationship, and there are more and more conflicts between them. Eventually, in a state of nervous breakdown, Eve self-harms and accuses her husband of beating her. The case goes to court and Michael loses the right to raise his seven-year-old daughter Kasi. Soon Ewa is sent to a mental hospital, and Kasia is taken care of by her despotic grandmother Jadwiga Fornalczyk, who in all ways makes it difficult for Kasia to contact her father. Michael goes to court and starts a fight for his daughter.
