The television series Anderland dealt with the Psyche of children and should reflect their reality in everyday life, but above all their dreams, wishes and way of thinking. Thus, in the individual episodes, the inner life of the actors, in this case primarily children, was repeatedly examined. The aim of the series was to have an educational effect on the viewers in addition to Entertainment. As a kind of mediator between the adult and the child world served a small - grown man (played by Carlo Ianni and in later episodes by Dirk Zalm). At the end of some episodes, a verse from the Bible was inserted that referred to the content of the story. The individual episodes of the series did not build on each other; each episode was dealt with in about 30 minutes of broadcast time. Topics covered included, for example, grief, loneliness, separation, conflict or social coexistence. ZDF was responsible for the production.
