Quinha, seven years old, lives with his mother in a small village in Brazil. Today is a big day, as Quinha will be baptised by a priest with a great reputation. Mother and daughter undertake so a long trip in the Northeast, a region where the priest in question exercises its functions. By the way, both of them praying for a miracle to happen. Quinha dream of something magical, while Rosa hope for the return of her husband. Despite some setbacks, the mother and daughter will live moments of redemption.
