The heroine of the story is sixteen-year-old Terezka, who still has a child's worldview, but also an exceptional fantasy. She leaves the orphanage, where she was trained as a seamstress and where everything was so simple, because others made decisions for her. She decides to go to the capital to find her mother, who has not shown interest in her for years. A wonderful journey through the whole of Slovakia is not only an emotional education, but also Terezka's test of adulthood. He experiences situations from grotesque to absurd and carefully records them all in an old blind map. The real story intertwines with dreams and is filled with playful humor.
