Joane and Lisa are hostesses in the mercurial towers of the Parisian suburbs. Lisa is Moldavian, haunted by the memory of a cousin who emigrated to France and disappeared without leaving a trace. Joane is French and seeks fame and fortune as well as meaning in her life. They became deeply friends and left for a few days at the German border.
