Through the eyes of Jean, a child of a decade, we share the daily life of a family on vacation at the ocean. That summer, at the end of the Seventies, Jean realizes that his father and his mother do not love each other anymore. Suddenly, the family is faced with death. Jean discovers the ambivalence of life, its violence, human weakness. In the car driving at night, the end of the holiday is loaded with new questions, anxieties, something like the end of childhood.
