The singer-El Cantor lives with his wife Janet, a dancer, and the two daughters in Santiago de Chile. He supports with his songs of the Unidad Popular, and stands behind the democratically elected Communist President Salvador Allende. Through a friend he learns that a coup threatens to Allende and his life may be threatened, but El Cantor sees no reason his normal life.
