The film is based on the case of the fairies of Cottingley. In 1917 two girls, Frances Griffiths and Elsie Wright, two young cousins living in Cottingley, near Bradford, in England, produce photographs featuring with fairies. The case has been nationally when Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, then attracted by spiritualism after the loss of his son during the conflict, there are interested in. The magician american Harry Houdini, on tour in Europe, accompanied by Conan Doyle in his investigations into the authenticity of the shots.
