The film shows the life in prague's Zizkov district in the 30. years of the 20th. century, as a place of quirky people, a lad, part, poetic old storefronts, but also a place amid the impact of unemployment. The main heroine of the film is experiencing first love with a worthy son of a shoemaker, but later it takes over its quicker brother.
