On vacation with his family in the mountain, Emma, a 9 year old girl, tries to escape the authoritarianism of his mother, who exercises on her and his other children pressure sickly. Suffering from semi-deafness, Eliane uses her disability to protect themselves from adults. In spite of injuries and trauma, she is confronted with her own imprisonment and seeks freedom in the great outdoors.
