Marthe and Michel together with their three children live near the unfinished highway. For their family this long ago forgotten by the authorities track - habitable place for everyday chores and games. But when the highway is completed, the endless stream of cars violates the usual and established family life. When faced with unexpected difficulties, the characters gradually realize that love and understanding is paramount.
