A working class district in Vesterbro in the mid-thirties. Here we meet the six-year-old Gustav Adolf, his storskrydende dad, and his loving, naive, wise mother, who is a swede. An excursion to the beach, which the family on a Sunday along with other neighborhood distinctive residents receive an unexpected scenario and means that Gustav adolf's admiration for the father gets a crack.
