A tragedy that takes place in the arid Argentine pampas: adultery, hatred and several differences end up in an explosion of anger and violence that destroys two families. When Poldo notices that its big companion, the farmer Pichon, has insulted little Nati, his mute daughter, Poldo breaks off all contact with him. Poldo also prohibits its wife to see to Pichon, not suspecting that she and Pichon are carrying on a loving relationship behind his back.
